KUCHING: The purported vaccination form using the Kuching South City Council (MBKS) logo is fake.
The council in a Facebook post on Friday (June 18) reminded the public to not provide their personal details to the form that was circulated on social media to avoid their information from being abused by irresponsible parties.
“MBKS would like to inform the public that a police report has been made today at Balai Polis Sekama regarding the form titled ‘Setuju Menerima Vaksin COVID-19 di BCCK’ which used the MBKS logo.
“The police will carry out further investigation on the matter. Please be informed that the council has never provided any platform or link regarding the said issue.
“We would like to remind the public not to click the link and not to fill in any personal particulars to avoid misuse of information.”
The council also reminded the public to check the validity of any link before providing their personal data.
The form, upon a check, purportedly suggested that its applicants will be receiving their Covid-19 vaccines at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).
It said the applicants must be those who have yet received their vaccine appointments through MySejahtera and is ready to be called up for vaccine appointment in a moment’s notice.
