MUKAH: Mukah Parliament Service Centre has contributed one unit of mobile toilet to low-risk Covid-19 quarantine and treatment centre (PKRC) at Mukah Youth Camp Sports Hall here.

The twin-door toilet is for frontliners, comprising medical personnel, People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) and the police, who are serving at the centre for the quarantine and treatment of the virus in Mukah Division.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Sabah and Sarawak Affairs) and Mukah MP Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib’s special officer Rosli Sopok handed over the contribution to Mukah Division Disaster Management Committee at the centre on Monday.

Mukah Resident Hamdiah Bakir and Mukah Hospital director Dr Yik Kah Sieng also attended the event.

The centre provides treatment to low-risk Covid-19 patients, namely those in category 1 with no symptoms and category 2 with mild symptoms.

It was set up on Jan 28 at the request of the State Disaster Management Committee. This was after realising that Bintulu Hospital and Sibu Hospital were having many Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment.
