Raghad distributes donations to 30 households

KUCHING: A total of 30 households from Kampung Tabuan Melayu here have received donations from the Raghad Foundation.

The Head of State’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib, who is also the chairperson of the foundation, personally presented the donations to the recipients at the Astana Negeri yesterday (April 13).

Among the items donated were food baskets, food hampers as well as ‘duit raya’.

Also present during the presentation of the Aidilfitri donations was Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud.

Earlier that evening, Taib and Raghad also performed the ‘Isya’ and ‘Taraweeh’ prayers together with invited guests comprising community leaders and a delegation from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).

The prayers were led by the Imam of the Darul Hana Mosque, Ismanhadi Jaafar.

Also present during the event were the chief executive officer of Raghad’s foundation Datuk Mohd Riffairudin Mohd Hussein and UNIMAS vice chancellor Datuk Dr Mohamad Kadim Suaidi.
