
KUCHING: Head of State’s wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib visited the 2022 Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro-Tourism Exhibition (MAHA) at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) in Selangor yesterday (7 Aug).
According to a statement by Astana Negeri Sarawak today, Raghad was welcomed by Minister of Agriculture and Food Industries Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee.
She was then accompanied by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industries Datuk Ustaz Dr Nik Zawawi Salleh and his wife Datin Zuriani Che Hamid at the exhibition.
Also present were Sarawak Minister for Modernisation of Agriculture and Regional Development Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom and wife Datin Seri Loreta Sawot, Head of State’s senior private secretary Datuk Mustapa Han as well as other senior agriculture officers.
For the record, the Castle of Fruits, one of the sites at MAHA 2022 is offering the sale of 11,111 products comprising fruits, vegetables, floriculture, and agricultural inputs.
Meanwhile, the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA) deputy director-general (Development) Datuk Mohamad Mustahapa Awang in a news report said that the Castle of Fruits, which has 99 lots, involved the participation of 82 entrepreneurs.
