Rain and thunderstorms expected this week

KUCHING: Get your umbrellas and raincoats ready as several areas in Sarawak are expected to experience isolated rain and thunderstorms until the end of the week.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia), there will be isolated rain over inland areas in the morning and at night on Tuesday (April 25).

On the same day, there will also be isolated thunderstorms over inland areas in the afternoon.

On Wednesday (April 26), it is forecast that there will be isolated thunderstorms over inland areas in the afternoon and night. However, there will be no rain in the morning.

On Thursday (April 27), there will be isolated rain over inland areas and isolated thunderstorms over inland areas in the morning and afternoon respectively.

Meanwhile, it is expected that there will be no rain on Thursday night until Friday (April 28) morning.

In the afternoon and at night on Friday (April 28), some areas may experience isolated rain over inland areas.

On Saturday (April 29), the weather is expected to be fine in the morning and later in the afternoon and at night, there will be isolated thunderstorms over inland areas.

On Sunday (April 30), from morning, it is expected that there will be isolated rain over inland areas and isolated thunderstorms over inland areas. Rain is expected to stop at night.

In the meantime, the public are urged to monitor the weather conditions through the department’s official website at https://www.met.gov.my/en/, the myCuaca mobile app, or the department’s official social media pages.
