KUCHING: The Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a rainfall alert today for several districts in Sarawak, expected to last until Tuesday (Feb 13).
Issued at 11:40 am in its official Facebook page, it stated that the affected areas Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, and Kapit (Song, Kapit dan Bukit Mabong) will experience continuous heavy rain from Sunday (Feb 11) to Tuesday (Feb 13).
A continuous rain alert is issued when rain is expected to persist for one to three days or when continuous rain or thunderstorms are expected to continue.
The public is advised to stay updated by checking MetMalaysia’s official website, the department’s official social media accounts, or by downloading the MyCuaca app for the latest and accurate weather updates.
