SIBU: Despite the heavy rain on Wednesday (July 14), the Sibu Information Department (JaPen) remained committed in disseminating information on vaccination to all parts of the district through its Info On Wheels (IOW) campaign.
Conducted at the Dewan Persatuan Foochow Sibu PPV (vaccination centre), Wednesday was the third and final day for the first dose of vaccine injections.
JaPen also found that the areas around Sibu were calm and residents were also seen adhering to standard operating procedures as Sarawak entered Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan.
Apart from inviting the public to register and get vaccinated, the IOW campaign also aimed to disseminate the latest information on Covid-19.
IOW is an initiative of JaPen in diversifying information delivery methods through mobile unit announcements in an effort to also curb the spread of fake news.
