Raja Muda launches medical programme at SGH

KUCHING: Visiting Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Ibni Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail launched the Master And Explore In Imaging Medical UltraSonography Skill (MAXIMUSS) programme at Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) here on Thursday (Sept 1).

On arriving at SGH, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra signed the visitor’s book before officiating at the event which took place at the Auditorium of the Clinical Research Centre (CRC).

The MAXIMUSS programme is an initiative of the Malaysian Advanced Acute Internal Medicine and Ultrasound Society (MAAIMUSS) to address the burden of internal medicine and overcrowding in wards.

After the ceremony MAXIMUSS president Datuk Seri Dr. Paras Doshi said with MAXIMUSS skills, patients can be diagnosed quickly and accurately in the emergency department and need not be admitted to the ward.

The Raja Muda of Perlis who is the royal patron of MAAIMUSS was in Kuching on a three-day working visit until today, accompanied by the Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.
