SIBU: Rajang Port Authority (RPA) has registered an increase of 15 per cent in its cargo throughput and 20 per cent increase in container throughput in 2018. Its general manager Helen Lim Hui Shyan was confident that RPA should be able to do even better as 2018 had already seen a positive comeback.

“Our total revenue has increased by 20 per cent as we keep our total expenditure to a minimum without experiencing any increase from that of last year.

“We have continued to generate cash and our liquidity stands at RM47 million today,” she said. She made the remarks at the RPA Annual Dinner 2018 held at a hotel here on Monday night. According to her, in 2017, RPA was recognised as an Asia Pacific Honesty Enterprise.

In an industry like a port, she said the single one most important attribute beside quality and efficiency is honesty. “In other words, you can be sure and assured that your cargo will always be in good hands while on our custody,” she said.
