KUCHING: 50 recipients from the ‘asnaf’ (needy) and disabled groups yesterday received donations from wife of the head of state Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib in conjunction with the month of Ramadan.
The donations from Astana Sarawak in the form of various Raya biscuits, other basic necessities and money were to help the recipients during Ramadan.
The charity programme took place at the P. Ramlee Auditorium, RTM Kuching.
Deputy Minister in the Premier of Sarawak’s Department (Law, MA63 and State-Federal Relations) Datuk Sharifah Hasidah Sayeed Aman Ghazali, Datin Seri Zuraini Abdul Jabar and Sarawak Deputy Director of Broadcasting Norjihan Yahya were also present at the ceremony yesterday.
