KUCHING: More than 1,000 students, teachers and staff turned up at Matang Vocational College last Friday for the ‘Warna Warni Kongsi Raya and Teachers Day’ celebration.
One of the aims of the celebration was to foster good ties between the teachers, students and the college’s management.
Two former principals of the college also attended the event. They were Johara Zen (1998 – 2005) and Azman Idris (2005 – 2007).
Also present were the principals of Kuching Vocational College and Sekolah Menengah Teknik Sejingkat.
In his speech at the launch of the celebration, director of Matang Vocational College Mohamad Sharan urged the students, teachers and other staff to forget their differences so that they could move forward together as they embraced Industrial 4.0 Revolution.
“The event and activities held here today are accomplishments. Together we can excel, united we push on,” he added.
During the celebration, 10 booths, set up by the students, teachers and management staff, offered guests various festive dishes.
