JULAU: This 20-door longhouse called Rumah Chat at Nanga Bilat about 20 minutes’ drive away from Julau town was razed to the ground at 1pm today (August 17).
It is said that the fire spread so quickly that the inhabitants were unable to save their belongings.
In just fifteen minutes, the upper part of the longhouse was destroyed.
