KUCHING: Those who have not yet registered for the Covid-19 vaccination are urged to do so immediately and not wait until the very last minute.

Minister of Local Government and Housing Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian said that globally, there was a shortage of the vaccines.

“It’s unlikely a country will get any more than the number of people who register.

“No one is immune from Covid-19,” he added.

In a separate post, Dr Sim said the state’s vaccination programme at the Stadium Perpaduan, Petra Jaya had run smoothly.

“In fact, it finished ahead of schedule. Thank you very much to the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) team and volunteers in our united war efforts against Covid-19,” he said.

He said since the vaccination rolled out on Feb 26 in the state, a total of 59,499 people had received the first dose of the vaccine.
