Renowned cinematographer to give talk at Unimas

KOTA SAMARAHAN: Cinematographer of the movie Cicak-Man 2 Mohd Filus Ghazali will be sharing his personal experiences of working in the Malaysian film industry at a talk  and sharing session at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (Unimas) here on March 7.

His talk will be divided into two sessions; the first one will start at 9am while the second session at 2pm.

It will be conducted at Unimas’s Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts. Unimas is organising the talk in conjunction with its 15th Mini Flim Festival.

Award-winning cinematographer Filus is also known for his work in several other movies namely Pontianak Harum Sundal Malam series, Tanda Putera and Waris Jari Hantu.

For the past few years, Unimas Mini Film Festival’s organisers had invited a number of industry professionals to share their working experiences with students and locals in the hope of inspiring more filmmakers in Sarawak  to excel in the local and international film industry.

In the next few months leading up to the MFF Award Night on May 24 , film industry professionals   such as Lina Tan (producer), Tunku Taufek Mansur (production designer), Harun Rahman and Nova Goh (both documentary filmmakers) and Saw Teong Hin (film director) will also be giving talks at Unimas.

The talks are free and the public are advised to follow the social media for the latest update on the Mini Film Festival.
