KUCHING: Naim Group of Companies is introducing a ‘Rent-to-Own’ (RTO) programme designed to make owning a property more affordable in the state.
Its sales and marketing senior general manager Alice Ting said the programme is “kind of a middle ground between renting and home buying”, allowing those who are not able to buy the property now to ‘reserve’ their dream home and pay for it later.
“One of the main concerns, especially among the younger generation is that while they need a roof over their heads, they may not be able to buy a property now,” she added.
Ting said Naim’s RTO programme allows participants to rent their dream property for a stipulated period of time and exercise the option to purchase the property at a later date.
“As a significant part of the rent paid will be applied as down payment for the purchase, it makes property purchase more affordable. What’s more, the property price is locked at the current price, eliminating price fluctuations in future,” she said.
She therefore urged members of the public who were not ready to purchase a property now but would like to do so in time to come would consider the company’s RTO programme.
She said Naim would be organising a sharing session on its RTO programme today (June 15) starting from 10am at its Naim ‘The Peak’ Condominium Homes, Naim Bintulu Paragon, Bintulu.
Besides information on its flexible RTO programme, the session will also feature free loan screening, a financial talk by Maybank and many more.
Meanwhile, one of Naim’s RTO participants, Habib Aizuddin, said the programme is especially great for first time home buyers like him.
“It allows my family and me to rent first and buy after two years. What’s more, part of my rent paid will be used as down payment, making it easier for me to own the property.
