LUNDU: Tanjong Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan has approved a total of RM300,000 for the development projects under his state constituency.

According to a statement, RM100,000 was allocated to Kampung Kangka to upgrade its reservoir.

With the upgrade, it will help the local folks get a supply of clean water and, at the same time, give the possibility of metered water being established in the Sampadi Zone.

Meanwhile, the remaining RM200,000 was for constructing a fishing jetty in Kampung Sungai Limo.

Azizul hoped the fishermen in the village could fully utilise the allocation given.

He said this during the Pengerami Gawai Dayak programme 2023 at Kampung Kangka Lundu last Friday (June 17).

Following this, he shared that Kampung Kangka is close to his heart as that is where he held the Sepak Takraw Sampadi Zone League when he was still the Youth chief.

“From there on, I have witnessed many positive changes in the village, including its leadership.

“That change of leadership can be seen with the appointment of the new young leaders, such as the new tuai rumah Henry Isa Jemat and Councillor Eliyanna Jemat.

“Their appointment shows the quality of the people of Kampung Kangka who can lead the Iban people in the Sampadi Zone,” he said.
