SIBU: Nangka assemblyman Dr Annuar Rapaee has allocated more than RM500,000 to help the less fortunate in his constituency during this year’s Ramadhan month.

According to Dr Annuar, who is also Assistant Minister of Education and Technological Research, the recipients comprised the less fortunate, senior citizens, disabled, poor students and orphans.

During the month, his service centre carried out a total of 53 programmes including “bersahur” (pre-dawn meal) at senior citizens and welfare homes.

“We also organise breaking fast events and distribute dates in collaboration with Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) youth in some places,” he said when met at an event in Kampung Nangka here, recently.
