Lee (left) inspects the Hinchin Garden area.

MIRI: Minister of Transport Datuk Lee Kim Shin this morning visited Hinchin Garden under his Senadin constituency.

He came in response to complaints that were conveyed to him.

Several complaints were brought up by community leaders and residents regarding the hill slope drainage problems which had not been resolved for quite a while.

Recently drain water overflowed the hill slope, causing problems to the houses below.

During an inspection of the area by officials from the Miri City Council (MCC) residents’ representatives and a community leader, it was observed that there was an urgent need to repair several parts of the cracked drains on top of the hill.

As the hill slope drainage problem could pose danger to the houses below the hill, Lee requested the MCC to take immediate action to solve the problem.

The Hinchin Garden residents were very thankful to Lee for the visit on the ground besides meeting people to understand their problems.
