BALINGIAN: The Batang Balingian federal project under the Rancangan Memulihkan Koridor Sungai (RMKS) at Kampung Pulat, Lembangan Batang Balingain project has been implemented by Sarawak Department of Irrigation and Drainage, and it is fully completed in order to be used, without any vandalism happening.

Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi visited to the RMKS project site Batang Balingian federal project at Kampung Pulat, Lembangan Batang Balingian on Wednesday (January 25).

Abdul Yakub reminded the public that once the place has been opened, it should be used wisely and not falling to the victim of vandalism.

He added that the project indeed had made an impact to the communities in Balingian, apart from the strongpoint for being able repair the Batang Balingian corridor, as a tourist attraction, and will push and promote the economic activities in the area.

Also present during the site visit was secretary of Mukah and Dalat District Council (MDDM) in which they discussed on the landscape suggestion in the area for economic purposes and recreation among the local community in the near future.
