SIBU: Tamin assemblyman Christopher Gira hopes that the eighth Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will look after the interest of Sarawak seriously, especially on the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).

“Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) is giving support to Muhyiddin being appointed as the eighth prime minister, so that the country will be functional,” he told New Sarawak Tribune when contacted.

He said that supporting Muhyiddin will not jeopardised the interest of Sarawak.

“The interest of the people of Sarawak must be given top priority.

“I hope that the eighth prime minister will look after Sarawakians and their interests, especially on MA63,” he added.
