SARIKEI: Datuk Sri Huang Tiong Sii congratulated members of the management committee of Surau Nur Permai here for their efforts in upgrading the house of worship to a mosque.
The Repok assemblyman hoped the management would continue to work closely to enhance the close rapport among the members.
“May all committee members be able to maintain close ties and harmony to ensure the spirit of goodwill among the people of Sarikei is preserved,” he after attending the Sarikei-level Hari Raya Qurban celebration yesterday (July 11).
He was happy to note that the facilities at Surau Nur Permai were upgraded through the Rural Transformation Projects (RTP) fund where so far this year a total of RM100,000 was approved for the surau’s activities while RM300,000 was approved last year and RM700,000 in 2020.
Yesterday, Huang donated seven head of cattle for the sacrificial ceremony.
