KUCHING: Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap has urged members of the public to bear with the constant traffic congestions, especially in Kota Sentosa.
“There are many issues to be considered when dealing with construction projects,” he said during a site inspection here yesterday.
“I’ve discussed with the engineers the issues which include cables, utilities such as water, electricity and telephones which they need to fix.
“When conducting projects underground, they have to make sure the cables are properly placed.
“If they proceed with the projects without any care and hit any of the cable lines, then the whole of Kota Sentosa will be without electricity power,” Yap explained.
He also urged the public to be patient and look at their long term convenience, adding that the engineers and contractors involved were coming up with mitigating steps to reduce the heavy traffic.
“I’m taking systematic steps to handle such issues and that’s my commitment for Kota Sentosa,” Yap said.
