MUKAH: Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi on Sunday (Dec 13) visited 12 disabled individuals (OKU) at their respective locations here in conjunction with the World Disabled Individuals’ Day on Dec 3.
His first stop was at Mukah Cahaya Kaseh Community-Based Rehabilitation Centre (PDK) here, where he also handed over contributions in cash and kind to five of them, who were also trainees at the centre.
Then he visited two OKU at Penakub Ulu, followed by Jebungan/Kelaup and Sungai Alo with each has two OKU, and finally dropped by at Kampung Litong (one OKU), where he also handed over contributions to them.
During the visit, he was accompanied by PDK Cahaya Kaseh Mukah committee members and others.
The visit was organised under the Sentuhan Cahaya Kaseh Pelatih PDK Cahaya Kaseh Mukah programme.
The former Dalat and Mukah District Council (MDDM) walikota also attended lunch at the centre, where he took the opportunity to learn more about it.
