THE Federal government has been urged to seriously look into the healthcare facilities in Tebedu constituency.

Dr Simon Sinang Bada (GPS-Tebedu) said that there was a clinic in his constituency but it was in a dilapidated and sorry state.

“It needs funding and needs to be updated and upgraded to a higher level and equipped with all the modern equipment and facilities.

“This is so that the people can receive quality health care services,” he said in his maiden speech during the motion of appreciation to the Head of State (TYT) Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud’s address at the DUN Sitting today.

Earlier, Simon said that although Tebedu was also known as Bandar Mutiara Tebedu, there were things that were lacking in his constituency.

“It lacks glitters. It needs more infrastructure development. It needs more economic development.

“The current available public facilities need maintenance and need to be upgraded,” he said.

He added that the road from Kampung Darul Iman to Kampung Tepoi and Anah Rais which was promised by Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg during the launch of the Serian Division Administrative Centre and Padawan Tiang Bukap Road should also be implemented to accelerate economic growth and economic activities in the constituency.
