KUCHING: Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) will be carrying out maintenance work to one of its two 275/33kV transformers at the Engkilili Extra High Voltage (EHV) Substation in Sri Aman from Thursday (July 22) to July 31.

The transformer will be de-energised over the maintenance period.

Technical teams and mobile generators will be despatched to strategic areas on standby as a precautionary step to speed up supply restoration if needed during the shutdown.

Meanwhile, SEB urged the owners of buildings and facilities nearby to make sure that their standby generators are ready to run if required.

SEB strives to complete the repair work as soon as possible without causing further supply interruption to its customers.
