KUCHING: Relocated residents involved in the Pan Borneo Highway project should reconnect their new residences with electricity supply.

The Land and Survey Department has made reparations to each house owner  including the cost of reconnecting the electricity supply.

“Apart from that, the reparations also include the cost of reconnecting water supply, values of land, buildings and also disturbance and removal allowances,” explained  the Assistant Minister of Rural Electricity, Dr. Abdul Rahman Junaidi during the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting here yesterday.

He was responding to a question submitted by Opar State Assemblyman, Dato Ranum Mina during the question and answer session.

During the same session, Rahman also addressed an enquiry made by Beting Maro Assemblyman, Razaili Haji Gapor who wanted to know whether the government would be establishing Tahfiz and Fardhu Ain schools in Beting Maro.

Rahman said that that the government had no such plans yet. However,  there were Al-Quran and Fardhu Ain classes (KAFA) for children aged seven to 12 in all primary schools in the constituency.
