KUCHING: It was a relief for some longhouse folk in Repok constituency, who were affected by the movement control order (MCO), when their assemblyman Datuk Sri Huang Tiong Sii came bringing with him essential food items.
Huang, in his Facebook post, said some 165 heads of the households received the food aid on Saturday.
“For the first phase, we have delivered to eight longhouses and we will continue to hand out the rest in phases,” he said.
As of yesterday, food items such as rice and instant noodles were delivered to the people of:
Rumah Lingga with 73 doors, Rumah Jawa (11 doors), Rumah Sabah (15 doors), Rumah Ugil (17 doors), Rumah Bansa (14 doors), Rumah Rampai (21 doors), Rumah Banun (13 doors) and Rumah Sumpun (26 doors).
