KUALA LUMPUR: The police have already submitted the report of the second autopsy on former Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Nazrin Hassan to the Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP), said Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun today.

He said the report was submitted to the DPP’s office last Feb 22.

“The Selangor police have submitted the investigation report on Nazrin’s death, including the result of the second autopsy, and so far, no new arrest has been made,” he told reporters at an event in conjunction with the 63rd anniversary of the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) and presentation of the Jasa Pahlawan Negara medals here today.

Nazrin’s body was exhumed On Oct 8 last year after police obtained an order from the Magistrate’s Court to carry out a second autopsy to facilitate investigation into his death.

Nazrin, 45, died in a fire that broke out at his two-storey house in Mutiara Damansara on June 14 last year.

Police reclassified Nazrin’s death as murder under Section 302 of the Penal Code on August 3 last year, following a forensic investigation report by the Fire and Rescue Department, which cited suspected foul play. – Bernama
