KUCHING: The restoration of water pressure in Limbang district is underway and is expected to be completed within 24 hours.

According to a statement from the state-owned water management company Northern Region Water Board (Laku), the current affected areas are Tedungan, Kpg Mengatai, Kpg Ulak, Kpg Belading, Kpg Anak Bukit, Kpg Kuala Awang, Kpg Binjai, Kpg Ipai, Kpg Merasam Bumbun, Kpg Meritam, Kpg Lubok Sigantang/Aur, Kpg Telahak, and Kpg Lubok Piasau.

Laku assured residents that its team is actively working to release the ‘air lock’ from the water mains, with the anticipated completion of this task within the next 24 hours.

It added that once the process is finalised, the water supply will gradually return to normal across all affected areas.

“However, after the restoration of the water supply, it may appear turbid or dirty after the repair process. To address this, our dedicated teams will conduct thorough flushing activities to ensure the cleanliness and safety of the water supply.
