SIBU: Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii has given a special allocation to 18-door Rumah Entagau for a longhouse rebuilding project.

Huang and his team from Repok Service Centre visited the project site for the village yesterday.

Tuai Rumah (Tr) Entagau, the chieftain, commended Huang for his generosity, saying he was a trusted people’s representative because he fulfilled his promise to help rebuild the longhouse.

Entagau said the previous Sarikei elected representative made a similar promise but after eight years of living in dilapidated structure, the promise was never fulfilled.

“We waited eight long years and all the while we lived in a temporarily built structure.

“Then you came, and when we asked for your help, you agreed.

“Today we are very happy, because you fulfilled your promise to us with this special allocation. We will soon have a new and proper longhouse,” Entagau said.

Entagau assured Huang of their continued support for his leadership in the area.
