SERIAN: A 25-year-old rider died on the spot after his motorcycle went out of control and crashed along KM6, Jalan Serian-Tebedu on Monday (Aug 9).

The victim, identified as Micker Moss from Kampung Lanchang Sabai, Jalan Baki Riih, was said to be travelling from Tebedu to Serian.

Sarawak Traffic Police chief, Supt Alexson Naga Chabu, said they received a distress call around 1am pertaining to the incident.

“It is believed that his motorcycle went out of control and crashed into a telecommunication pole at a corner.

“The impact of the crash caused the victim to suffer severe injuries. He was later pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics,” he told.

The victim’s body was taken to the hospital for further actions.

Alexson pointed out that the case was being investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
