Right choice will ensure stable government

KUCHING: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan has reiterated on how pertinent it is for Sarawak to have a stable government.

In stating this, he pointed out that the Gabungan Parti Sarawak government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg, has been looking after the state and people well.

“We are very committed and will continue to help as well as to take care of the people’s welfare including the senior citizens, people with disabilities (OKU) and vulnerable groups.

“Come the state election, God willing this government will continue to rule. However, this requires unity, solidarity and cooperation from all of us as one Sarawak,” he said.

He said this when officiating at the Welfare Micro Entrepreneurs Day celebration and OKU Day organised by the Social Welfare Department at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching on Thursday (Nov 11).

The Bukit Sari incumbent assemblyman stated that a stable government of integrity would safeguard the state’s development as well as look after the people’s interests.

Meanwhile, Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah urged the people to have a rational mind and make the right choice in the upcoming state election.

She said it is important to have a government with leaders who are sincere, committed, attentive and caring towards the people, including those in the vulnerable groups.

“The critical decision to choose the right person to lead the constituency and state lies within the people. They must choose with a rational mind and make the right choice.

“We need leaders who will look after the people of Sarawak,” she added.
