Flood conditions in Long Lama

MIRI: The water level in Telang Usan is rising.

According to reports from the Civil Defence Force (APM) Captain Usman Harto, the water level continues to rise despite clear weather.

The water levels in Long Lama in Telang Usan are expected to see water levels rise after heavy rain on Saturday (September 10).

APM personnel visited Long Lama town at 2 pm yesterday and found that the water was three feet high, causing roads to be impassable to many vehicles about 300 metres from the Long Lama Bridge to Pekan.

Currently, only four-wheel drive vehicles are able to go through the road to Pekan.

The public need to use small boats to commute from Pekan to the roundabout at Long Lama Bridge.
