RM100, hampers worth RM80 given to 100 people in Tatau

TATAU: The Sarawak government gave RM100 along with hampers worth RM80 each to a total of 100 people here in conjunction with the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

However, only 88 of the individuals were present to receive the donation at the Sejambak Kasih Aidilfitri ceremony held at the Tatau District mosque.

Two recipients were also presented with OKU and Kenyalang Gold Cards (KGC), plaque and certificate of registration to Rumah Anak-Anak Bijak and Rumah Pearl Home-Based Childcare Centre and to Lollipop Childcare Centre.

Also presented was a wheelchair, a cheque to Masjid Darul Ibadah, Tatau and Lembaga Amanah Khairat Islam Tatau.

The Bintulu Social Welfare Office also channelled a total of RM953,100 in assistance to 669 recipients of monthly aid in the Tatau District from January to April 2022.

Sarawak Social Welfare Department director Noriah Ahmad and Tatau District officer Jabang Juntan were also present.
