KUCHING: Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kevin Yii went to SMK Pending here to check on the work progress of a football field being upgraded.
Yii said Pending assemblywoman Violet Yong and he would both contribute to repair broken drains and upgrade the drainage system at the school.
An estimated 310 metres of new drains needed to be built and upgraded at the school.
Yii also went with teachers of the school and Education Ministry officials to check on the damaged drains and take measuring of new ones to be built.
He hoped that the works can start in the next two months and revealed that he and Violet Yong would be contributing about RM100,000 for the project.
