RM120,000 multi-purpose hall to be ready this year

MIRI: The RM120,000 multi-purpose hall project which will serve as an activity venue for the Miri Association of Persons with Physical Disabilities (POKUFM) is expected to be completed by this year.

Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting said the project is part of the Rural Transformation Project (RTP).

“This 2022 RTP project has been done through a draw of lots and hopefully the project can be completed as scheduled,” he said.

Ting said this during the Hari Raya open house organised by POKUFM in collaboration with Laksa Runners Miri recently.

Ting, who is also the Piasau assemblyman conveyed his appreciation to Laksa Runners Miri for carrying out beneficial activities with POKUFM.

Also present were POKUFM chairman Mazlan Daraman, its advisor Chiong Bee Lan and Miri Laksa Runners chairman Mohd Firdaus Abdullah.
