RM1,500 help for B40 dialysis patients

Dialysis patients in the parliamentary constituency of Bandar Kuching and Stampin applying for the one-off assitance.

KUCHING: Dialysis patients in the parliamentary constituency of Bandar Kuching and Stampin can now apply for a one-off RM1,500 assistance.

Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii said his office has started to process applications for the Bandar Kuching Service Centre and Stampin Special Assistance Funds for B40 dialysis patients.

“This will be a one-off RM1,500 assistance to dialysis patients meeting the criteria of household income of less than RM5,000, going through dialysis at non-governmental organisation (NGO) or dialysis centre.

“Those who wish to apply can come to our office to produce the necessary documents namely identification card, medical report, letter of confirmation from centre of dialysis, documents to show household income and bank statement or bank book,” he said on Tuesday (April 19).

He disclosed that a total of RM300,000 have been allocated for this batch and will be helping 100 eligible patients for each constituency on a first come first served basis.

“We encourage those who are eligible to apply. If there are any inquiries, do not hesitate to contact us,” he added.
