BAU: The Community-based Rehabilitation Organisation here (PDPK Bau) needs a bigger and permanent space to run its daily activities and care for its OKU (disabled) members.

Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep, in acknowledging this, said the existing space rented by the organisation was giving it a lot of constraints to run its activities.

Speaking at an appreciation dinner organised by the organisation on Saturday night, he suggested that the management of PDPK Bau look into the possibility of building its own premises to enable it to run its activities smoothly.

The building currently occupied by PDPK Bau is rented.

Jinep said he was fully aware of the limitation faced by PDPK Bau, especially with the increasing number of OKU registering with it every year.

To start the ball rolling, he announced a RM150,000 grant from his Rural Transformation Project (RTP) fund for the construction of PDPK Bau’s own premises.

Also present were Bau district officer Anielia Siam, PPDK Bau chairman David Disam.
