Deputy Transport Minister and Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep said RM100,000 of the amount was for the installation of new air conditioning for the school hall.

“And RM20,000 is for the purchase of new desks for the classroom while RM30,000 will be for road upgrade works in the school area,” he said.

The Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) reported that Henry was officiating at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2022 Golden Holiday programme at SMK Lake here recently.

“The initiative is to provide comfort to the students and teachers and create a more conducive atmosphere for learning sessions,” he said.

In the meantime, Henry hoped that the students will work harder to achieve excellent results in the SPM examinations.

The SPM 2022 Golden Holiday is a motivational programme that runs for three days and two nights involving 290 Form 5 students.
