RM192 mln hospital ready in October

KUCHING: The second RM192 million Sri Aman Hospital is expected to be completed in October.

Simanggang assemblyman Datuk Francis Harden Hollis said the new hospital would have a total of 180 beds. 

“It is a mega landmark project in Simanggang town,” he added during his site visit.

He called on all community representatives who took part in the visit to tell their people about the project which was implemented by the government.

“I hope that the people will not be fooled by the opposition’s propaganda which always accuses the government of not bringing any development.

“I hope the hospital can meet the demand of patients who need specialist treatment,” he added.

Joining Harden on the visit were Pemanca Lee Siang Hua, Penghulu Mingging Sigan, Penghulu Tiong Chong Onn, KK Hj Jolly Ramli, Kapitan Tay Siaw Chuan, Cr Andar Suntai, Cr Suhaili Abg Abu Samy, and Cr Denneil Sawing.

Harden and his delegation were welcomed by senior engineer Loretta Nihol and Veronica Sonia Perry of the Federal Public Works Department (PWD), the implementing agency.

The visitors were briefed by the project manager Hipeni Manterang and Affrin Architect Sdn Bhd’s representative Kamaruddin Othman.

Also present during the visit were Sri Aman Resident Indit Bangai, Sri Aman District Officer Mohd Ashree Wee and a representative of Sri Aman PWD engineers, Lim Bak Chai.
