SERIAN: The Dayak Bidayuh National Association (DBNA) has provided financial assistance to the family of the late Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) officer Joanna Felicia Rohna.

DBNA members, along with contributors from the Chinese and Malay communities, raised RM19,800, which was recently presented to Joanna’s family.

DBNA president Datuk Ik Pahon Joyik, accompanied by Exco Members from Serian, Kedup and Siburan, delivered the donation at the family’s home in Kampung Engkeroh.

“The contribution included donations from both DBNA members and non-members,” he said.

He expressed gratitude for the generosity shown by donors both locally and internationally, supporting DBNA’s effort to alleviate the family’s hardship.

Joanna, aged 26, was killed along with nine other crew members in a collision of two helicopters during a rehearsal for the 90th TLDM Fleet Parade. The incident occurred in conjunction with the RMN Open Day at the Lumut Base in Perak on April 23.
