RM300k allotted for Rh Suring new site project

KANOWIT: Funds worth RM300,000 have been allocated for Rumah Suring new house site project under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP).

In a report from the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), Ngemah assemblyman Anyi Jana said the project will be supervised by the Public Works Department (PWD) Sibu Division that was present at the groundbreaking ceremony for the project, recently.

Meanwhile, Anyi said he had held discussions with Machan assemblyman Allan Siden Geramong to resolve the issue of Pengkalan Feri Sedaya which is often raised by the public.

According to him, the construction of the ferry ramp at Pengkalan Feri Sedaya will be given primary attention where two pillars from the direction of Kanowit town will be built using the RTP fund of Machan assemblyman while the two pillars from the direction of Sedaya will be built using the RTP fund of the Ngemah assemblyman.

The total cost to build the four pillars amounts to RM360,000.

In addition, he said, the Sarawak government has agreed to establish the RASCOM Development Agency (RASDA) which covers Kanowit and Selangau districts.

For that purpose, the Sarawak government has allocated a budget of RM1.5 billion to develop the RASDA area.
