RM39,500 prize for Sarawak Integrity 2019 writing competition


KUCHING: Cash prizes totalling RM39,500 are up for grabs in a writing competition to be held from June 1 until Nov 30.

The competition is organised by the Integrity and Ombudsman Unit in the Chief Minister’s Department with the cooperation of Sarawak Writers Association.

Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Talib Zulpilip said it was the unit and association’s first collaboration.

The competition would be divided into five sections — poetry; novella in Bahasa Melayu and Iban language; and essay in Bahasa Melayu and English language.

“There is also a special category for students,” Talib told a media conference here today.
