A sum of RM3 million has been approved for Jalan Sungai Menuan and Jalan Sungai Ibau for initial works and design. This was disclosed by Assistant Minister of Coastal Road Datuk Julaihi Narawi when answering a question by Bukit Goran Assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat during the State Legislative Assembly sitting here yesterday.
“The allocation for the construction of Jalan Sungai Menuan and Jalan Sungai Ibau was submitted under the mid-term review of the 11thMalaysia Plan (RMK-11) for the state government’s consideration,” he said. Meanwhile, in response to a question by Sadong Jaya Assemblyman Aidel Lariwoo, Julaihi said the ministry had no plan to upgrade the road from Asajaya to Sadong Jaya in the near future.
“However, we will make sure that the roads there will always be in good condition and inspected from time to time,” he said.
