Each of these recipients received RM100 cash. Those unable to attend the programme would have RM100 credited into their bank accounts.

The recipients also received a food basket each.

“This is proof of the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) state government’s commitment to help underprivileged families,” Mohamad Razi said.

He said that a total of RM61,048,620 had been disbursed to 51,003 recipients statewide as monthly welfare aid from January to March this year by his ministry through the Sarawak Welfare Department.

In conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri celebration this year, a total of 15,318 underprivileged people or 30.3 per cent of the total recipients received welfare aid.
