RM5 million MRP funds for Ngemah

KANOWIT: Some 35 Rural Transformation Projects (RTP) will be implemented in the Ngemah constituency with a total allocation of RM5 million.

According to Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) news report, Ngemah assemblyman Anyi Jana said he has come up with development plans in four main areas, namely infrastructure development, economy, education and youth for the first term planning from 2021-2025 to spur development in his constituency.

“Minor Rural Project (MRP) funds for phase 1 amounting to RM1.1 million have been channelled to a total of 86 recipients comprising the Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK), Women’s Bureau, Parents and Teachers Association (PIBG) and clubs in Ngemah,” he said.

He said this in his speech while attending the launching ceremony for the construction of a new longhouse at Liew Tubow, Parit Guroh, Sungai Bawan here, recently.

He also said that the second phase of the MRP grants would be distributed soon.

Meanwhile, regarding the application for a loan to build a longhouse from the Sarawak Housing Development Corporation (HDC), Anyi said he would support the application and submit it to the authorities.

He also announced an MRP allocation amounting to RM6,500 to Rumah Liew Tubow.

“For Ngemah constituency , applications for assistance can be sent to the Ngemah assemblyman service centre in Kanowit town.

“Therefore, everyone present here should continue to support the current government, especially the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) government in Sarawak.

“This is because GPS government has been proven in fighting for the people’s rights and bringing special development for rural areas in Sarawak,” he said.
