RM80,000 grant for JKKK Rumah Beli

KAPIT: Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) Rumah Beli Anak Jalak at Sungai Ibau, Batang Rajang in Kapit district has be given a federal government grant of RM80,000 under a housing aid scheme.

Deputy Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi announced the grant at a “Leaders meet The people” session organised by Special Affairs Department (JASA) at Rumah Beli Anak Jalak at Sungai Ibau, Batang Rajang in Kapit district recently.

Rumah Beli Anak Jalak is a 16-door longhouse.

The housing aid will allow the longhouse residents to purchase building materials to complete the construction of their longhouse.

Also at the same function, Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat announced a state government grant of RM8,000 for JKKK Rumah Beli and another RM3,000 for its women’s bureau for the purchase of cooking utensils for the JKKK.

Among those present at the function were political secretary to the Chief Minister Tapah Ata, Kapit District Officer Elvis Didit and JASA officer Mohd Matan Yok.
