RM80k in state allocation for road upgrading

KUCHING: Sarawak government has allocated funds through the Sarawak State Development Office in the amount of RM80,000 for the upgrading of the Surau Al Muhajirin road in the Meradong area.

At present, the existing site is rocky. Therefore, the mosque management committee has requested assistance from Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Environment, and Climate Change Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii, also as Repok assemblyman to upgrade the road for the safety and comfort of the nearby Muslim worshippers.

Gung Chiu Kion, representing Huang, along with officers from the Sarawak State Development Office, conducted a site inspection, estimation, and measurements to further assess the project site on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, they also communicated with the Surau Al Muhajirin Management Committee.

Also present were assistant engineer from the Sarawak State Development Office, Kumpang Brandah and chairman of the Surau Al-Muhajirin Management Committee in Taman Bintang Bintangor, Abdullah Zoll.
