KUCHING: The existing lane leading to the Uni-Garden residential area and Samalaju Sdn Bhd here will be closed to make way for upgrading works along the Kuching-Samarahan Expressway.
The Samarahan Public Works Department (PWD) said as the upgrading works at the Sarawak Heart Centre roundabout are underway, the department through the appointed contractor will close the lane starting today (Apr 19) at 12 midnight.
“Road users are advised to be careful when driving along the road during the period and to comply with all traffic requirements. They are also advised to plan their journey in the affected areas. We regret any inconvenience caused,” the department said in a statement today.
The department said it will inform the public of any changes to the date, time or areas involved for the works.
Any complaints or inquiries related to traffic flow, can be forwarded to the PWD Samarahan Division office at 082-671076 during office hours.
