KANOWIT: Upgrading works on Jalan Kubur Ulu Sebiro will come under the Ngemah state constituency’s Rural Transformation Project (RTP) programme.

Assemblyman Anyi Jana said he is committed to upgrading the road, which is estimated to be one kilometre long.

He assured the upgrade will be done after getting views from relevant technical agencies.

He said this after attending a communal work programme to clean up Jalan Kubur Ulu Sebiro yesterday (Feb 5).

The programme, organised by the Ulu Bawan Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), was also attended by representatives of residents from 11 longhouses in the Ulu Bawan area.

According to a news report by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), Anyi commended the JKKK for taking action to clean up the road, and at the same time urged the community to play their role in keeping the area clean.

In contrast, Tuai Rumah must fulfil its responsibility as a link between the locals, its representatives and the government, he said.
